SRINAGAR: Under the influence of a Western Disturbance, rain and snow showers are expected to continue across most parts of Jammu and Kashmir until Saturday.
Intermittent rain showers today are likely to subside by evening or night, offering a brief pause before another spell begins by late Friday morning or afternoon.
This second spell, expected to last between Friday afternoon and Saturday, is likely to be more widespread. Weather conditions are set to improve from Sunday onward, although some areas may still experience isolated showers. Once this system clears, no major Western Disturbance is expected to impact Jammu and Kashmir for the next seven to ten days, according to Kashmir Weather.
In its advisory, the MeT has urged travelers, tourists, and transporters to follow administration and traffic advisories, while farmers have been advised to suspend farming activities until March 16. “Avoid slopes and avalanche-prone areas. Landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones are expected at vulnerable spots,” the advisory reads.
