SRINAGAR: Authorities on Saturday issued a fresh weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, forecasting heavy rains over the next 56 hours with the risk of cloudbursts, flash floods, and landslides at several areas.
The Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKUTDMA) said the districts likely to be affected include Anantnag, Kulgam, parts of Central and North Kashmir, Doda, Jammu, Kathua, Kishtwar, Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban, Reasi, Samba, and Udhampur.
“People in vulnerable areas are advised to remain alert and take precautions. In case of emergency, dial 112,” they said.
Meanwhile, authorities have further cautioned residents and travelers to stay away from rivers, streams, and landslide-prone slopes during the ongoing monsoon spell.
