SRINAGAR: A contractor lost his life in a tragic accident at Government Medical College (GMC) Udhampur on Wednesday, officials said.
Officials said that the deceased has been identified as Sanjeev Sharma. The incident occurred while he was on duty at the GMC premises when a pipe reportedly fell from above and struck him on the head, resulting in his death on the spot.
Soon after the incident, authorities rushed to the spot and initiated necessary legal and procedural formalities. Further details regarding the circumstances leading to the accident are being ascertained. (KNC)
