SRINAGAR: The Cyber Cell of Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered a large sum of money after receiving a report about online financial fraud in South Kashmir’s Pulwama.
A spokesperson in a statement said that the cyber cell received a distress call from Rafiq Ahmad Kumar, a resident of Lajurah Pulwama. “He complained about a Rs 96,000 fraud in an internet scam. The Cyber Cell filed a report on behalf of the victim with the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCCRP).
Within eight hours, police recovered Rs 85,799, safeguarding the majority of the defrauded amount.
