SRINAGAR: Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat on Wednesday visited the Nayvug Tunnel in Qazigund and interacted with police officers deployed for the Amarnath Yatra.
Speaking to reporters during his visit, the DGP said all officers are on the ground ensuring peaceful conduct of the Yatra.
Amid a multi-tier security cover, the first batch of 5,485 pilgrims entered Kashmir in 299 vehicles to undertake the yatra from twin routes of Pahalgam and Baltal. (KNO)
