SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has ordered the transfer and posting of two accounts officers, including assigning additional charge of Chief Accounts Officer at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora, with immediate effect.
Under Government Order No. 268-F of 2026, Muzaffer Ahmad Rather, Chief Accounts Officer, District Fund Office, Kulgam, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chief Accounts Officer, IUST Awantipora, alongside his existing responsibilities.
Rather will also exercise the powers of Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) of the university in respect of funds provided as grants-in-aid as well as funds received by the institution from other sources.
Meanwhile, Gulzar Ahmad Parray, Accounts Officer at IUST Awantipora, has been transferred and posted as Accounts Officer, Verinag Tourism Development Authority.
The order relieves Mohd Yousuf Najar of the additional charge of Accounts Officer at the Verinag Tourism Development Authority.
The transfers and postings have been ordered in the interest of administration and will take effect immediately.
The order was issued by Shailendra Kumar, IAS, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department, on August 31.
The concerned authorities have been directed to provide the officers with the necessary facilities and assistance to enable them to discharge their duties.
