SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a major reshuffle in the Jal Shakti Department, transferring and posting 22 Executive Engineers (Civil) and 52 Assistant Executive Engineers (Civil), besides assigning additional charge of AEE posts to 52 other officers.
The orders were issued by the Jal Shakti Department on September 25, with the transfers taking immediate effect.
Under Government Order No. 166-JK (JSD) of 2026, Executive Engineer Mehboob Ali Wazir, presently posted in S&D Division-II of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation, has been directed to report to the Administrative Department for further duties.
Nisar Ahmad Malik, who was awaiting orders of posting, has been posted as Executive Engineer, S&D Division-II, SMC, Srinagar, replacing Wazir.
A separate Government Order, No. 165-JK (JSD) of 2026, covers the transfers and postings of 52 Assistant Executive Engineers (Civil) across irrigation, flood control, public health engineering and related wings of the Jal Shakti Department.
The reshuffle affects postings across Kashmir and Jammu divisions, including Bandipora, Baramulla, Kupwara, Srinagar, Budgam, Anantnag, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Udhampur and Reasi.
Among the Kashmir postings, Mukhtar Ahmad Khanday has been moved to Irrigation Sub-Division Bandipora in Hydraulic Division Bandipora, while Bashir Ahmad Kambay has been posted to Flood Control Sub-Division Sumbal in Irrigation and Flood Control Division Sumbal.
Mudasir Nayeem has been posted to PHE Sub-Division Pattan in PHE Division Baramulla, while Sajad Ahmad has been posted to Irrigation Sub-Division Kupwara in Irrigation and Flood Control Division Kupwara.
Javeed Iqbal Ganayee has been posted to Flood Planning and Designing Sub-Division Sopore under Irrigation Construction Division Pampore, while Hafsa Farooq has been posted to Flood Planning and Designing Sub-Division Anantnag.
Mohammad Shaban Khanday has been posted to Irrigation Sub-Division Pakharpora under Irrigation Division Ompora Budgam. Fayaz Ahmad Yatoo has been posted to Irrigation Sub-Division Rajpora in Irrigation Division Tral, while Abdul Haq has been posted as Technical Officer to the Executive Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control Division Ganderbal.
Anzar Ahmad Koka has been posted to Irrigation Sub-Division Qazigund under Irrigation Division Kulgam. Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat has been posted as Technical Officer to the Superintending Engineer, Hydraulic Circle Budgam, against an available vacancy.
The order also shifts Raheel Ahmad Wadera from Flood Control Sub-Division Awantipora, with his replacement there being Mohammad Shaban Khanday’s successor arrangement as specified in the order, while Wadera is posted as Technical Officer to the Executive Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control Division Ganderbal.
In the Jammu region, Arun Kumar has been posted to PHE Sub-Division Kandi-I under PHE Rural Division Jammu, replacing Nomit Singh Chib, while Rajeshwar Singh has been posted to PHE Sub-Division Billawar in PHE Division Kathua, replacing Kiran Sharma.
Shivalik Baru has been posted as Technical Officer to the Executive Engineer, PHE Division Mendhar, against an available vacancy, and will additionally hold charge of AEE, Irrigation Sub-Division Mendhar, Irrigation and Flood Control Division Poonch.
Manmohan Gupta has been posted to PHE Sub-Division Gool in Hydraulic Division Ramban, replacing Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat. Nomit Singh Chib has been posted to Pump House Sub-Division Nowshera under Irrigation and Flood Control Division Nowshera.
The Government has also made postings involving the Ravi and Tawi canal construction divisions, including changes in Kathua, Hiranagar, Samba and Jammu.
At the same time, the department has assigned additional charge of AEE (Civil) posts to 52 officers with immediate effect.
The additional-charge arrangements cover PHE, irrigation and flood-control sub-divisions across Jammu and Kashmir. These include postings in Kathua, Basholi, Bani, Ramban, Banihal, Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch, Mahore, Jammu, Akhnoor, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi, Bhaderwah, Rajouri and Nowshera, besides several locations in the Kashmir Valley.
In Jammu division, Himanshu Verma has been assigned additional charge of PHE Sub-Division Bani, while Neetan Sharma will additionally look after PHE Sub-Division Basholi. Arshad Ahmad has been assigned additional charge of PHE Sub-Division Banihal, and Suhail Ahmad Mir will hold additional charge of PHE Sub-Division Chiralla.
Zakir Hussain Mir has been assigned additional charge of PHE Sub-Division Dachhan, while Mohd Farooq will additionally hold charge of PHE Sub-Division Mandi.
Several additional-charge arrangements have also been made in the irrigation and flood-control network in the Jammu region, including Pargwal, Akhnoor, Kathua, Hiranagar, Ramnagar, Mahore, Bhaderwah, Rajouri, Nowshera and Poonch.
In Kashmir, additional charges include sub-divisions in Chadoora, Budgam, Shopian, Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora, Sopore, Pattan, Anantnag, Dooru, Pulwama, Sumbal and Pampore.
Among the Kashmir officers given additional responsibilities are Fahad Javid Qazi, Ali Mohammad Wani, Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir, Jan Wakeel Ahmad Wani, Sharief-Ud-din Malik, Mubashir H Dar, Ghulam Hassan Najar, Perveez Ahmad Sohrab, Rameez Ayoub Wani, Amir Rashid, Irshad Ahmed Wani, Feroz Ali Mir, Syed Asif Hussain, Irfan Rashid Marazi, Mir Pervaiz Ahmad, Shabeena Shafi, Mohd Syed Mir, Mir Athar Shabir and Iliyas Ahmad Bandh.
The department has directed all transferred officers to join their new places of posting forthwith without availing any joining time.
