Jammu Kashmir Govt Allocates Districts to Ministers for Improved Governance

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued an order assigning districts to ministers to ensure better coordination, effective implementation of developmental programmes, and closer monitoring of public services.

As per Government Order No. 2057-JK (GAD) of 2024, Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister, will oversee Jammu, Poonch, Anantnag, and Shopian. Sakeena Masood (Itoo), Minister for Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education, and Social Welfare, will manage Kupwara, Srinagar, Kathua, and Samba.

Javed Ahmed Rana, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, will handle Doda, Rajouri, Pulwama, and Baramulla. Javid Ahmad Dar, Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, and Cooperatives, will take charge of Ganderbal, Budgam, Kishtwar, and Ramban.

Satish Sharma, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science & Technology, and Youth Services & Sports, will oversee Reasi, Udhampur, Kulgam, and Bandipora.
