SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Saturday announced summer vacations for schools falling under the Summer Zone of Jammu Division in view of the prevailing weather conditions and rising temperatures.
In a post on social media, the minister said summer vacations for primary classes will begin from June 1, 2026, while students of Classes 6 to 12 will proceed on vacation from June 8, 2026.
“Keeping in view the prevailing weather conditions, summer vacations for schools falling under the Summer Zone of Jammu Division shall commence with effect from June 1, 2026, for primary classes,” Itoo said.
She added that the summer break for students of Classes 6 to 12 will commence with effect from June 8, 2026.
