SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed a senior health department officer to conduct an inquiry into charges arising from a Crime Branch Kashmir case concerning the alleged operation of a fake association of Ayush doctors.
Under Government Order No. 601-JK (HME) of 2026, Dr Rukhsana Najeeb, Professor and presently looking after the charge of Secretary (Technical), Health and Medical Education Department, has been appointed as the Inquiry Officer in FIR No. 34/2021 registered at Police Station Crime Branch Kashmir.
The FIR pertains to offences under Sections 420, 506 and 120-B of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC), read with Section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act (SVT), in connection with the alleged fake Association of Ayush doctors.
The government order, issued in supersession of previous orders on the matter, directs Dr Najeeb to conduct an in-depth inquiry into the charges and continue the proceedings from the stage already reached.
Dr Sujad Hussain Shuja, Assistant Director (Unani), has been designated as the Presenting Officer in the case.
The Inquiry Officer has been directed to conclude the proceedings and submit a report to the Administrative Department, along with specific recommendations, within 21 days from the date of issuance of the order.
