SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed a Joint Director of the School Education Department as the Inquiry Officer to investigate allegations against Pawan Kumar Singh, former Principal of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Udhampur.
The appointment was approved through Government Order No. 387-JK (Edu) of 2026, issued by the School Education Department.
Under the order, Mushtaq Ahmad, Joint Director (M), Directorate of School Education, Jammu, will conduct a detailed inquiry into the allegations against Singh, who has since retired from service.
The inquiry will be conducted under the provisions of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.
The government has appointed Mohan Singh, Under Secretary in the School Education Department, as the Presenting Officer in the case.
The Inquiry Officer has been directed to submit his findings and inquiry report within 20 days from the date of issuance of the order.
