SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has granted the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) permission to conduct periodic field firing practice at the 100-Metre Baffle Firing Range located at the Group Centre CRPF Lethpora (RTC Srinagar) in Pulwama district for a period of 10 years.
The authorisation has been granted under sub-section (2) of Section 9 of the Manoeuvres, Field Firing and Artillery Practice Act, 1938. The CRPF has been allowed to use the designated range as notified earlier.
The notification states that the approval is valid for ten years from the date of its issuance and is subject to strict adherence to the provisions of the 1938 Act.
