SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved the inter-divisional mutual transfer of two teachers serving in the School Education Department, subject to specified service conditions.
According to Government Order No. 280-JK (Edu) of 2026, dated July 15, 2026, sanction has been accorded for the mutual transfer of Sagar Bhat, Teacher at BMS Mamath, Zone and District Budgam, and Ruhi Jan, Teacher at LHS Nowgam, Zone Banihal, District Ramban.
The order stipulates that both teachers will retain their lien, seniority and promotion prospects in their parent cadre. It also mandates that they serve a minimum of three years in their newly assigned schools.
The government has further specified that neither teacher should be due for promotion and that, wherever applicable, they must have completed their tenure in Reserved Backward Area (RBA) or Actual Line of Control (ALC) areas in accordance with the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004.
