Jammu Kashmir Govt Approves Rs 15.22 Crore Upgrade of Kathua Grid Station

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu Kashmir Government has approved the augmentation of the Grid Station at Kathua from its existing capacity of 3×50 MVA to 4×50 MVA, along with allied infrastructure works, at an estimated cost of Rs 15.22 crore, in a move aimed at strengthening the power transmission network in the region.

The project is expected to improve the reliability and stability of the transmission system, reduce overloading and enhance the quality of electricity supply to consumers in Kathua and adjoining areas.

The augmentation is part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to modernise and expand JKs power infrastructure and provide a more dependable and efficient electricity supply while supporting economic growth and development in the region.
