Jammu Kashmir Govt Assigns 57 Assistant Accounts Officers Additional Charge as Incharge Accounts Officers

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has placed 57 Assistant Accounts Officers of the JK Subordinate Accounts Service as Incharge Accounts Officers on a stop-gap basis for six months or till vacancies in the Jammu and Kashmir Accounts (Gazetted) Service are filled on a regular basis through the DPC/PSC, whichever is earlier.

According to Government Order No. 169-F of 2026 dated April 29, issued by the Finance Department, the officers will hold the charge in their own pay and grade with charge allowance as admissible under rules. The order states the arrangement has been made in the interest of administration and will not confer any preferential right for regular promotion as Accounts Officers.

The order said the arrangement is purely temporary and subject to the outcome of writ petitions, if any, pending before competent courts or tribunals.
