SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has designated the courts of the 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge in Jammu and Srinagar as Special Fast Track Courts to try offences under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
The designation was notified by the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs through Notification S.O. 275, dated October 23, 2026, issued in the name of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha under Section 12A(2) of the Act.
The notification states that the designation was made in consultation with the Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
The order was issued by Achal Sethi, Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
The notification has been circulated to the Advocate General of Jammu and Kashmir, the Home Department, the Registrar General of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, and the two designated courts, among other concerned authorities.
