According to an order issued by the Finance Department, the revised DA will apply to employees continuing in the pre-revised pay scale and grade pay structure under the 6th Pay Commission.

The order further states that arrears for the period from January to April 2026 will be credited to the General Provident Fund accounts of employees covered under the GPF scheme, while those under the National Pension System (NPS) will receive the arrears in cash.

It adds that the revised DA will be reflected in monthly salaries from May 2026 onwards.

The government has also clarified that any fraction of 50 paise or more in the DA calculation will be rounded up to the next rupee, while amounts below 50 paise will be ignored.
