SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has said the proposed comprehensive transfer policy for reserved category employees serving in the Valley is under active examination and that a committee is preparing a draft framework.
The Higher Education Department said the framework would outline broad principles for the proposed policy, while its implementation would be considered after scrutiny of relevant data and finalisation of recommendations.
The department said legal, administrative, cadre management and security considerations would be taken into account before implementation.
The response was issued to a starred question, D. No. 1/6/4, tabled by MLA Bharat Bhushan of Kathua, seeking the status of the Government’s proposed transfer policy against the backdrop of persistent security concerns.
The Government did not specify a timeline for notifying the policy.
The reply was issued by the Minister-in-Charge of the Higher Education Department through the Under Secretary to the Government.
