Jammu Kashmir Govt Grants Post-Facto Approval for DySP’s China Visit for Asian Relay Championship

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has granted post-facto sanction to the deputation of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Sharat Chander Singh of Police Control Room (PCR), Jammu, for his official visit to Shaoxing, China, in connection with the 2nd Asian Relay Championship.

According to Government Order No. 374-Home of 2026, dated 20 July 2026, issued by the Home Department, Singh visited Shaoxing from 20 to 21 June 2026 after being appointed Team Manager of the Indian Athletics Team for the 2nd Asian Relay Championship, held in the Chinese city during the same period.

The order said the post-facto approval was accorded following references received from the Police Headquarters (PHQ), Jammu and Kashmir.

It further stipulated that all expenditure incurred during the visit would be borne by the Athletics Federation of India, with no financial liability on the Jammu and Kashmir Government.
