SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a series of transfers, postings and additional charge assignments among officers of the Forest Department, with immediate effect.
The orders were issued through Government Order No. 213-JK(FST) of 2026, dated October 1, 2026, in the interest of administration.
Under the order, Anurag Arya, IFS (AGMUT: 2021), DCF and DFO Jammu Forest Division, has been assigned the additional charge of Deputy Director, Forest Protection Force (FPF), Gama Unit J-02, Sidhara, until further orders.
Waseem Farooq Mir, DCF and DFO Bandipora Forest Division, has been given the additional charge of General Manager, Extraction Circle North, Sopore, J&K Forest Development Corporation Limited (JKFDCL), alongside his existing duties.
Altaf Hussain Dentoo, DCF, who was awaiting an order of adjustment in the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and HoFF, J&K, has been posted as DFO, Shopian Forest Division, replacing Qamar Rashid Khan, ACF.
Sagar Singh, ACF and in-charge DFO Batote Forest Division, has been assigned the additional charge of Deputy Director, FPF, Batote, until further orders.
Vijay Kumar, ACF, who was also awaiting an adjustment order in the PCCF and HoFF office, will look after the charge of DFO, Ramnagar Forest Division, replacing Naresh Majotra, ACF.
Mushtaq Hussain Choudhary, ACF and in-charge DFO Poonch Forest Division, has been transferred and posted as District Soil Conservation Officer (DSCO), Rajouri, relieving S Amrik Singh, ACF, of the additional charge.
Naresh Majotra, ACF and in-charge DFO Ramnagar Forest Division, has been transferred and assigned the charge of DFO, Poonch Forest Division, in place of Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary, ACF.
Qamar Rashid Khan, ACF and in-charge DFO Shopian Forest Division, has been transferred and assigned the charge of DFO, Social Forestry Poonch, relieving Ranjeev Sharma, ACF, of the additional charge.
