SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday effected a major administrative reshuffle in the Finance and allied departments, ordering transfers and new postings of senior officers with immediate effect to improve administrative efficiency.
As per the official order, Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, who was serving as Director Resources in the Finance Department, has been transferred and posted as Director Accounts and Treasuries, Kashmir, replacing outgoing officer Abdul Hamid Kumar, who is set to retire on March 31, 2026.
Mazher Hussain, earlier Director Finance in the Public Works (R and B) Department, has been appointed as Director Resources in the Finance Department, succeeding Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani.
Hemkant Prasher has been transferred and posted as Director Finance in the Public Works (R and B) Department, replacing Mazher Hussain.
In another order, Tabasum has been assigned the additional charge of Director Finance for the Agriculture and Horticulture Department until further orders.
The restructuring order was issued by Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department, Shailendra Kumar, and came into force with immediate effect.
