SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday ordered the transfer and posting of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers in the interest of administration, with immediate effect.
According to Circular No. 01-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated January 7, 2026, IAS officer Shubhankar Pratyush Pathak (AGMUT: 2022), who was serving as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Uri, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat.
In a related move, Prince Kumar (AGMUT: 2023), previously SDM Kokernag, has been transferred and posted as SDM Uri, replacing Pathak.
