Jammu Kashmir Govt Raises Suspended DySP’s Subsistence Allowance to 75 Per Cent

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has enhanced the subsistence allowance of suspended Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Sunil Singh Jasrotia from 50 per cent to 75 per cent, in accordance with the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Regulations.

According to Government Order No. 384-(Home) of 2026, dated July 23, 2026, the enhancement has been sanctioned in favour of Sunil Singh Jasrotia (ARP No. 983409), the then Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Gandhinagar, who remains under suspension under Government Order No. 541-Home of 2025 dated November 13, 2025.

The order states that the enhancement has been approved under the proviso to Article 108-A(i) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Regulations, 1956. The revised subsistence allowance will take effect after adjusting the 50 per cent allowance already paid to the officer from the date of his suspension.

The decision was issued by the Home Department through Government Order No. 384-(Home) of 2026, following a reference received from the Police Headquarters, JK, vide Letter No. Gz/P-Case/S-23/DSP/2022 [7915676] dated June 11, 2026.
