SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday enhanced the ceiling for administrative departments to accord technical sanction, raising the limit from Rs 2 crore to Rs 5 crore, according to an official notification issued by the Finance Department.
As per Notification S.O 154 issued by the Finance Department (Codes Division) on June 3, 2026, the amendment has been made to Annexure-I of the Delegation of Financial Powers for according Administrative Approval, Technical Sanction and Award of Contracts.
The revised provision substitutes the earlier limits of “up to Rs 2.00 crore” and “above Rs 2.00 crore” with “up to Rs 5.00 crore” and “above Rs 5.00 crore” respectively under the category relating to powers to accord technical sanction.
