SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has recalled eight officers to the General Administration Department (GAD) following their promotion from the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Officers (Gazetted) Service to the time scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS).
The order was issued through Government Order No. 1656-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated October 16, by the General Administration Department.
According to the order, the officers will await further orders regarding their adjustment in the GAD.
Those recalled include Seema Gupta, posted as Chief Conservator of Forests, Jammu; Seema Rani, serving in the Food and Drug Control Organisation, J&K; and Rachna Devi, posted in the Directorate of Industries and Commerce, Jammu.
The other officers are Sanjay Kumar Tandon, posted in the State Taxes Department, J&K, Jammu; Rakhi Kaloo, serving at Government Dental College, Jammu; Tariq Umar Handoo, posted in the Jammu and Kashmir e-Governance Agency; Shafat Ahmad Shansaz, serving in the Directorate of Fisheries, Kashmir; and Zahida Mir, posted in the Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Board.
