SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has sanctioned the advance drawal of Rs 15.20 lakh for onward disbursement as Grant-in-Aid to the concerned AYUSH Boards for the financial year 2026-27.
The sanction was issued by the Health and Medical Education Department through Government Order No. 642-JK(HME) of 2026 dated August 21, 2026, in favour of the Director, AYUSH, JK, under S.O. 157 of 2026 dated June 5, 2026.
The amount will be drawn in advance by the Director, AYUSH, JK, and subsequently released to the concerned AYUSH Boards under the relevant Detailed Heads.
The government has stipulated that the funds must be used strictly for the purposes for which they have been sanctioned and in accordance with the applicable rules, guidelines and approved provisions.
The Director, AYUSH, JK, has also been tasked with ensuring compliance with financial rules, codal formalities and instructions issued by the Finance Department and the Government. Proper accounts of the funds drawn and utilised must be maintained, with the required Utilisation Certificate or Statement of Expenditure submitted within the prescribed period.
Any unspent amount is required to be surrendered or refunded to the Government Treasury in accordance with the applicable rules.
The order further makes the Director, AYUSH, JK, personally responsible for ensuring that the sanctioned amount is neither diverted nor used for any purpose other than that approved by the government.
The expenditure will be booked under the relevant Detailed Heads of the Grant-in-Aid provisions of the Health and Medical Education Department for 2026-27, subject to availability of funds and prescribed budgetary controls.
