Jammu Kashmir Govt Transfers Five Executive Engineers in Rural Engineering Wing

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday ordered a reshuffle in the Rural Engineering Wing of the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj by transferring and posting five In-charge Executive Engineers across key districts of the Union Territory with immediate effect.

According to Government Order No. 129-JK(RD and PR) of 2026 dated April 30, 2026, issued by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, the transfers were made following the joining of engineers pursuant to earlier orders issued by the Public Works (R and B) Department and in the interest of administration.

As per the order, Er Nawaz Ahmad Banday, who was awaiting adjustment orders, has been posted as I/c Executive Engineer, Rural Engineering Wing (REW), Doda, replacing Er. Assadullah Najar.

Er Varinder Pal Singh, also awaiting adjustment, has been appointed as I/c Executive Engineer, REW, Udhampur, in place of Er. Sanjay Kumar.

Er Assadullah Najar, previously serving as I/c Executive Engineer, REW Doda, has been transferred and posted as I/c Executive Engineer, REW Ganderbal.

Er Sanjay Kumar, who was serving in Udhampur, has been shifted to Poonch as I/c Executive Engineer against an available vacancy.

Meanwhile, Er Ghulam Qadir, presently I/c Executive Engineer, REW Ganderbal, has been assigned additional responsibility to look after the work of Executive Engineer, REW Srinagar till further orders. His salary will continue to be drawn by DRDK from the overall strength of an equivalent or higher vacant post.

The government order further stated that all the affected I/c Executive Engineers shall be deemed relieved forthwith to ensure immediate implementation of the new postings.
