Jammu Kashmir High Court Invites Eligible Staff To Switch From NPS To OPS

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has invited eligible officers and officials of its Srinagar Wing to exercise their option to switch from the National Pension System (NPS) to the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).

The High Court issued the direction under Order No. 267/RJS dated October 4, 2026, following Government Order No. 305-F of 2026 dated September 28, 2026, and a communication from the Registrar General dated October 1.

The provision applies to employees who joined government service on or after January 1, 2010, but were appointed against posts or vacancies that had been officially advertised or notified before December 24, 2009, the date of issuance of SRO-400.

Eligible officers and officials seeking the benefit have been directed to submit their details in the prescribed Annexure-A format.

The completed option forms must reach the Office of the Registrar Judicial, Srinagar, by October 6, 2026, for onward transmission to the Registrar General’s office.

The order was issued by the Registrar Judicial, Srinagar.
