SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department has transferred and posted 24 librarians to various Government Degree Colleges and other higher education institutions across the Union Territory.
The transfers were ordered through Government Order No. 339-JK(HE) of 2026, dated September 25, in accordance with the Transfer Policy for Faculty of the Higher Education Department notified through Notification No. 01-JK(HE) of 2026 on June 15, 2026.
Among the transfers, Darshan Kumar has been moved from Government Degree College Sarh Bagga Mahore to Government Degree College Reasi, replacing Neelam Manhas. Neelam Manhas has been posted to SPMR College of Commerce, replacing Kulwinder Kaur.
Rafiya Tabasum has been transferred from Government Degree College D.H. Pora to Government Degree College Anantnag in place of Sabiha Zehra Rizvi, who has been posted to Government College for Women Pulwama against an available vacancy.
Rafiq Ahmad Rather has been shifted from Government Degree College Kishtwar to Government Degree College Banihal against an available vacancy, while Akshey Sharma has moved from Government Degree College Billawar to Kishtwar in his place.
Ashaq Hussain Wafaye has been transferred from Government Degree College Sogam to A.S. College, Srinagar, replacing Huma Shafiq. Huma Shafiq has, in turn, been posted to Government Degree College Pulwama in place of Shahina Islam.
Mohd Tahir Pandit has been shifted from Government Degree College Vailoo-Larnoo to Government Degree College Shopian, replacing Murad Hussain Shah, who has been posted to Government Degree College D.H. Pora.
Dr Hilal Ahmad Malla has been transferred from Government Degree College Kupwara to Government Degree College Sopore, while Ansaar Hussain Ghanayi has moved from Sopore to Kupwara.
Nisha Kumari has been posted from Government Degree College Mahanpur to Government Degree College Sunderbani, replacing Nisha Kalsi. Kalsi has been transferred to Government Degree College Paloura in place of Renuka Jasrotia, who has been posted to Government Degree College Billawar.
Anuj Bali has been transferred from Government Degree College Thanamandi to Government College for Women Bhagwati Nagar, while Waqar Ahmed has moved from Government Degree College Rajouri to Thanamandi. Arti Digra has been transferred from Government Degree College for Women Bhagwati Nagar to Government Degree College Kathua, replacing Mansha Khajuria, who has been posted to GCET Jammu.
Shahina Islam has been shifted from Government Degree College (Boys) Pulwama to Government Degree College Bijbehara, replacing Aijaz Ahmad Bhat. Bhat has been posted to Government Degree College Vailoo-Larnoo.
Anjum Nisar, presently posted at Government Maulana Azad Memorial College, Jammu, has been transferred to Government Degree College Bhaderwah against an available vacancy. Ranjan Singh has moved from Government College of Engineering and Technology Jammu to Government Degree College Rajouri, replacing Waqar Ahmed.
Kulwinder Kaur, formerly posted at Sri Pratap Memorial Rajput College of Commerce, Jammu, has been transferred to MAM College, Jammu, in place of Anjum Nisar.
