SRINAGAR: An infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district was foiled by alert troops on Monday, officials said.
According to the White Knight Corps, suspicious movement was detected at around 4 pm nearly 300 metres inside Indian territory in the sector. Troops deployed for sustained surveillance reacted swiftly to the activity and successfully neutralised the attempt, preventing any breach of the LoC.
During the operation, one intruder was killed. Security forces maintained control of the area and remained on high operational alert following the incident.
In a statement on X, the White Knight Corps said: “The Knight Stands Vigilant — Every Infiltration Bid Will Fail.”
