SRINAGAR: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced scheduled power outages in various areas of Jammu, Kathua, and Samba districts on 7 and 8 September due to maintenance works.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, electricity supply to Dogra Hall, Rehari, Resham Ghar Colony, Bus Stand, Jewel, Hari Market, Raghunath Bazar, Kaleeth Mohalla, Kanak Mandi, Manda, New Plot, Sarwal, part of Karan Nagar, High Court Complex, Ambedkar Nagar, Vikas Nagar and adjoining areas will remain suspended on September 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In a separate notice, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), O/M Circle Kathua, stated that power supply to Bandral, Vijaypur, Vijaypur 2nd, Patti and nearby localities will be affected on September 8 from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Additionally, areas including PHE Barjani, K4 Industry, Meen, Bhatyari, Sultanpur, Kanal and surroundings will face an outage on September 7 from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Similarly, power supply to Samba and adjoining areas will be disrupted on September 7 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
JPDCL has advised residents and businesses in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements and has apologised for the inconvenience caused.
