SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast generally dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir during forenoon hours from May 23 to 25, with isolated afternoon spells of rain, thundershowers and gusty winds expected at scattered locations.
Officials said weather conditions are likely to remain hot and dry across the Union Territory on May 26 and 27.
From May 28 to 29, the region is expected to witness generally cloudy conditions, accompanied by one or two spells of rain, thundershowers and gusty winds at scattered to fairly widespread places.
Between May 30 and June 2, partly cloudy conditions are likely, with brief spells of rain or thundershowers expected at isolated locations during late afternoon hours.
The MeT Centre has issued an advisory warning of possible thunderstorms, lightning, hail, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 kmph at a few places across the Union Territory.
It further stated that hot and humid conditions are expected across several parts of the Jammu division, with heatwave conditions likely at isolated locations between May 25 and 27.
