SRINAGAR: A Pakistani national woman was apprehended by the Army near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district of Jammu Kashmir on Tuesday.
A senior security official said that the woman, identified as Shehnaz Akhtar (around 35), a resident of Gimma village in Kotli district of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), was apprehended today from the Dabbi Forward area in Balakote sector under Police Station Mendhar.
Preliminary enquiries suggested that she had a quarrel with her father and allegedly crossed towards the LoC area before being apprehended by the Army, he said.
She is yet to be handed over to the local police for further investigation, he added. (KNC)
