The pavilion, sponsored by the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO), featured 21 stalls, including contributions from women entrepreneurs. One such entrepreneur, an award recipient, demonstrated live Pashmina weaving at her stall, providing visitors with a hands-on experience of the region’s exquisite craftsmanship.

Exhibiting a diverse range of products, the pavilion attracted visitors with items like Pashmina shawls, Sozni embroidered textiles, GI-tagged Kashmiri saffron, hand-embroidered Phiran, and organic food products including Honey, Anardana, and Rajmash from Jammu. The interaction between artisans and visitors added immense value to the products, allowing guests to learn about the intricate techniques behind their creation and fostering an appreciation for the region’s artistic heritage.

The event’s success was reflected not only in the significant sales figures but also in the large number of business leads generated, which highlight the increasing demand for Kashmiri products both domestically and internationally. The pavilion’s exceptional response underscores the growing recognition of the region’s craftsmanship in global markets.

IIMTF 2024 featured over 1,000 stalls from exhibitors across 20 Indian states and 15 countries, with the Jammu and Kashmir Pavilion emerging as one of the most popular and celebrated attractions at the fair.

In line with its mission to showcase Jammu and Kashmir’s economic potential, JKTPO had previously participated in several prominent events, including IITF 2024 in Delhi, PITEX in Amritsar, and CII Fair in Chandigarh.
