SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police has promoted two Sub-Inspectors to the rank of Inspector with immediate effect following the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC).
According to separate orders issued by the Police Headquarters, SI Abdul Rashid (No. EXJ932461) of the 2nd Battalion, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has been placed on Promotion List ‘F’ for the year 2026 and promoted as Inspector in the pay scale of Rs 35,900–1,13,500 (Level-6E).
In a separate order, SI Gh Mustafa (No. EXK931288) of the JK Executive Police has also been placed on Promotion List ‘F’ for 2026 and promoted to the rank of Inspector in the same pay scale with immediate effect.
Both promotions were approved on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee, whose proceedings were issued on July 4, 2026.
The orders, issued by Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, state that the promotions shall remain subject to the outcome of any writ petitions or other legal proceedings pending before competent courts.
