SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police headquarters has adjusted 21 Inspectors (M) across various wings, zones and units following their promotion to the rank, according to an order issued by the police headquarters.
As per Order No. 2505 of 2026, dated September 5, the officers were promoted to their present rank through HQ Order No. 1467 of 2026, dated May 7, and have now been assigned to their respective formations.
Of the 21 officers, seven have been adjusted in the Armed Zone, while others have been posted to the Kashmir Zone, Jammu Zone, Traffic, Crime, Telecom, Security, 7 JKAP Security Battalion, CID SIA and Police Headquarters.
Reyaz Ahmad has been adjusted in Kashmir Zone, Doos Ahmad in Armed Zone, Mohammad Ayoub in Traffic, Nazir Ahmad, Sajad Ahmad, Fayaz Ahmad, Sanjay Kumar, Hafizullah Dar and Rakesh Gupta in Armed Zone, while Mohammad Afzal has been adjusted in Crime.
Paramjeet Singh has been posted to Telecom, Surinder Kumar and Jasvinder Singh to Security, Soni Kumar to 7 JKAP Security Battalion, Satish Kumar and Pawan Kumar to Jammu Zone, Kulbir Chand and Parveen Kumar to Police Headquarters, Susheel Sharma to Jammu Zone, and Rajinder Magotra to CID SIA. Mohd Nayaz has also been adjusted in Jammu Zone.
The order further provides for the attachment of one Inspector (M) post from Police Headquarters with the Crime Branch to facilitate the drawal of pay for Inspector Mohammad Afzal, until his superannuation in February 2027.
Similarly, one Inspector (M) post from the overall strength of the Armed Zone has been attached to 7 JKAP Security Battalion to facilitate the drawal of pay for the concerned officer.
The Inspector (M) post vacated following the superannuation of Jia Lal (PID No. MEG935947) has been withdrawn from SKPAU and attached to Jammu Zone.
The police headquarters directed that the records be updated accordingly and ordered all the officers to be relieved forthwith.
