SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat has approved the attachment of properties belonging to two militants allegedly operating from Pakistan, according to an order issued on Thursday.
The properties, located in Kachama village of Kupwara district, comprise 15 kanals and seven marlas of land along with two residential houses.
The properties are owned by Ab Majid Qureshi, son of Ab Rouf Qureshi, and Parvaiz Ahmad Qureshi, son of Mohd Mustafa Qureshi, both residents of Kachama, the order states.
The attachment proceedings have been initiated in connection with FIR No. 276/2022 registered at Police Station Kupwara.
The case has been registered under Sections 120-B, 121, 121-A, 122 and 123 of the Indian Penal Code, along with Sections 17, 18, 18-A, 18-B, 20, 38, 39 and 40 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
The police action concerns allegations against the two individuals, who are described in the order as militants operating from Pakistan.
