The transfers have been ordered “in the interest of administration”, with eight Inspectors shifted directly from their present postings and another eight transferred to the ACB after cancellation of an earlier transfer order issued in June.

The order also cancels the transfers of eight other Inspectors ordered vide Police Headquarters Order No. 1798 of 2026 dated June 16 and assigns them to the ACB.

They are Vikas Sharma, earlier transferred from 4 JKAP to Armed Zone; Liayaqat Ali, from CID to Kashmir Zone; Firdous Ahmed, from Jammu Zone to CID; Kiran Kumar, from CID to Jammu Zone; Ankuj Kumar, from Crime to Jammu Zone; Pawan Singh, from Jammu Zone to PTTI Vijaypur; Arun Sharma, from CID to Jammu Zone; and Mashkoor Ahmed, from Crime to Traffic.

The latest order directs all 16 Inspectors to be relieved forthwith and report for their new assignments.

It also specifies that the Inspector posts held by Ibrar Ahmad Lone and Tahir Bashir Bhat during the transfer process will be restored to the Armed Zone with immediate effect.

The transfers were approved by the Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir. The order was digitally signed by SP Personnel Varun Jandial on behalf of the DGP on October 3.

Police headquarters has asked the Director, ACB, to have the personnel relieved forthwith, with reference to an ACB headquarters letter dated September 10, 2026.
