SRINAGAR: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag has ordered the transfer and posting of eight police officers in the district in the interest of administration and to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of police stations and police posts.
According to Order No. 909 of 2026, dated October 21, Inspector Parveez Ahmad (4155/NGO), who was posted at Police Station Bijbehara, has been transferred and posted as Station House Officer (SHO) Police Station Anantnag.
Inspector Lateef Ahmad (330/PAU), transferred from Police Station Achabal, has been posted as SHO Police Station Bijbehara, while Inspector Gh Jeelani (221/PAU), previously posted at Police Station Aishmuqam, has been appointed SHO Police Station Achabal.
Inspector H.M. Shahnawaz, transferred from District Police Lines (DPL) Anantnag, has been posted as SHO Police Station Aishmuqam.
Among the Sub-Inspectors, Mohd Tajamul (517/PAU), transferred from Police Post Sangam, has been posted as SHO Police Station Mattan.
Sub-Inspector Irfan Nazir (64/PAU), transferred from Police Station Bijbehara, has been posted at Police Post Sangam as In-charge Police Post.
Sub-Inspector Rayees Ahmad (542/PAU), transferred from Police Station Anantnag, has been posted at Police Post DK Pora as In-charge Police Post.
Meanwhile, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Muzaffar Ahmad (40/CID), transferred from Police Post DK Pora, has been posted at Police Station Achabal as Investigating Officer (IO).
The order states that the officers shall stand relieved and assume charge at their respective places of posting forthwith.
Separately, Sub-Inspector Gowhar Ahmad (14/PAU), PID No. EXK196505, presently posted at Police Station Bijbehara, has been directed to look after the functioning of Police Post Khiram Srigufwara in addition to his own duties, until further orders.
The transfer and posting order has been issued by the SSP Anantnag with immediate effect. (KNC)
