SRINAGAR: Police, along with Special Operations Group (SOG), on Thursday launched a search operation in Katli village of Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir following a report of a suspicious motorcycle rider, sources said.
Sources said that the rider had briefly stopped to ask a resident for directions towards the National Highway before leaving the area. It is alleged that during the interaction, a blanket he was wearing shifted due to strong winds, reportedly revealing two firearms.
After receiving information from locals, police, along with the SOG, rushed to the area and initiated a search operation to trace the suspect, they added. (KNC)
