SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir has seen a surge in industrial expansion, with 1,984 new units coming up since 2019, generating 63,710 jobs and attracting Rs 9,606.46 crore in investments.
According to the official document, 334 new industrial units were established in FY 2024-25 alone, with an investment of Rs 2,977 crore, creating 8,443 jobs.
The document also highlights the impact of the New Central Sector Scheme (NCSS) 2021, which has been fully subscribed. With an outlay of Rs 28,400 crore, the scheme has 971 approved applications, securing Rs 10,471 crore in investments and creating 51,897 jobs. (KNO)
