SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council has announced open selection trials to pick the Union Territory’s Junior Boys Football Team for the Dr B C Roy Trophy 2026-27 National Football Championship, organised under the aegis of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
The division-level trials will be held on July 31 and August 1 at the Mini Stadium Synthetic Turf, Parade Ground, Jammu, for players from the Jammu division, and at the Synthetic Turf Football Stadium, TRC, Srinagar, for players from the Kashmir division.
Shortlisted players from both divisions will compete in the final Union Territory-level trials on August 3 and 4 at the TRC Football Stadium in Srinagar, where the final pool for the coaching camp will be selected.
According to the Sports Council, players born between January 1, 2011, and December 31, 2012, are eligible to participate. Applicants must be residents of Jammu and Kashmir and should produce their original birth certificate, Aadhaar card with a recent photograph, and two passport-sized photographs along with photocopies of the documents for verification.
Participants have been asked to report in full playing kit, including jersey, shorts, stockings, shin guards and football boots. No travel or daily allowance will be provided for attending the trials.
Players selected at the Union Territory level will attend a coaching camp in Srinagar before the final squad for the national championship is announced. The selected players may also have to undergo Bone Age Verification Tests in accordance with AIFF guidelines.
