SRINAGAR: Three people were killed and two others injured when a car carrying a Barat skidded off the Bani–Bhandar road in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir and plunged into a deep gorge on Thursday evening, officials said.
An official said that the vehicle, with five people onboard, met with the accident under mysterious circumstances.
Three persons, Rakesh Kumar of Gatti, Jeevan of Sitting Kote, and Vicky (son of Khem Raj), died on the spot.
Two others, around 22 -23 in age sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment, the official added.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken. Further details are awaited. (KNC)
