SRINAGAR: Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Saturday announced that Jammu and Kashmir will soon have its first government homeopathy college, to be set up in the Rajbagh area of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a social media post, the minister termed the move a major milestone for the Union Territory, aimed at expanding alternative medical education and improving access to affordable healthcare.
He said the proposed institution will strengthen healthcare services while creating academic and employment opportunities for local youth.
He further added that the initiative is part of broader efforts to promote traditional and alternative medicine alongside conventional healthcare and to boost educational infrastructure, particularly in underserved regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
