SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Mingpa Sherpa has suspended two officials for alleged dereliction of duty during the ongoing digital crop survey in the district.
According to an official order, the suspended officials have been identified as Man Mohan, a GRS posted in the BDO Office Ghordi, and Rattan Lal, NYC, DYSSO.
The order said the two officials remained unauthorisedly absent despite directions issued by the competent authorities, resulting in disruption to the government-mandated exercise.
During the suspension period, both officials have been attached to the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur. They have also been directed not to leave the headquarters without obtaining prior permission.
The action comes days after Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan suspended four officials on September 11 over alleged negligence and failure to achieve the prescribed targets under the ongoing digital crop survey in the district.
