SRINAGAR: The authorities suspended vehicular movement on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway on Tuesday after the thoroughfare was blocked by a landslide at Kishtwari Pather Banihal.
Traffic police in an advisory to the general public said, “People are advised not to travel on NH-44 without confirmation from Traffic Control Units as the national highway has been blocked because of a landslide,” said an official.
“Traffic update @ 0700 hrs Jammu Srinagar NHW blocked because of a landslide at Kishtwari Pather Banihal. Traffic stopped from both ends. People r advised not to travel on NH-44 without confirmation from TCUs @DivisionalComm1,” Traffic police wrote on its social media handle X.
