Jammu Tawi River Front Project Set to Transform City, Says LG Sinha

   

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced on Monday that 90 percent of the work on the Jammu Tawi River Front project has been completed, and the initiative is expected to draw numerous domestic and international tourists.

“This was a challenging project, but credit goes to the Smart City team for their dedicated efforts. The Jhelum Tawi River Front work is nearing completion, with 90 percent of the work finished and the remaining portion to be completed shortly,” the LG said while speaking to reporters during a site visit.

He emphasised that the project will serve as a significant attraction for tourists from across the country and abroad.

The LG further announced plans for phase two of the project, which involves the development of a township along the banks of the Tawi River. This new township is expected to become a major draw for both domestic and international visitors.

“Soon, evenings in Jammu will resemble those of Lucknow,” the LG remarked. (KNO)
