J &K RTI Movement and Tosamaidan Bachao Front in association with JK Rural Voice and Panchayat Association of Budgam is organising 2 day festival on 9th and 10th August, 2014 at Tosamaidan which will be known as Jashn-Ne-Tosamaidan, a JK RTI Movement statement said on Monday.
“This festival will mark the beginning of Tosamaidan as a Tourism Destination. Main function will be held on 9 August from 11 am onwards whereas a Trekking expedition from Tosamaidan to Nurpurgali via Kadlehbal will take place on 10 Aug,” the statement informed.
“We would like to cordially invite people from all walks of life especially Journalist guild who stood with us in every think and thin in highlighting the issue of Tosamaidan.”
The statement further said, “after completing the combing operation, Tosamaidan Bachao Front expects army to pack their bags and proceed to an alternate firing range which we hope does not fall in an eco fragile zone.”
