Srinagar: District Election Officer Angrez Singh Rana today suspended a Junior Engineer for indulging in political activities.
As per district administration, the Junior Engineer in R&B department Div Kishtwar Raj Kumar Badyal was suspended after a video of him delivering a political speech was circulated in social media groups.
The erring Jr Engineer was placed under suspension with immediate effect and attached to the office of Chief Engineer R&B Jammu.
Meanwhile, Imam Din Additional District Development Commissioner has been appointed as Inquiry Officer in the matter and asked to conduct a discreet inquiry regarding the misconduct shown by erring JE. Further, Chief Engineer R&B has also been asked to keep close watch over the day to day activities of the said JE.
