The militant outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad on Monday claimed the responsibility for an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Sopore town.

As per an official statement to a local news gathering agency, GNS, the official as said, “Our cadres trigger the IED in which several Indian security force personnel were injured and the vehicle also got damaged at Nathipora.”

Meanwhile the SSP Sopore Javid Iqbal has told GNS that IED was defused by Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) without causing any damage.
